Of a romance novel Holly recently slammed on her blog keeping her online identity a secret becomes vitalAs Holly struggles to keep Santo from learning the truth she realizes just how much she likes him But when he discovers who she is will their relationship be over before it's even beg. I'm rating this book on what it truly is; a sweet short holiday story Which means we aren't given a lot of time to get to know the characters or their motivations I felt the author did a great job making the both the hero and heroine likable with the limited amount of time she had There was definitely a lot of nudge nudge wink wink from the author to the reader Here is just a sampling of names the characters in this story had Holly Noelle Rudy Merry Really it was a bit overkill But I do feel she did it on purpose to make the reader laughI must admit being an American from the Midwest it took a bit for me to get used to it being summer during Christmas But of course that makes sense when you're in Australia And although I've spent many Christmases in southern California when I was first married it was still winter Not 80 or 90 degrees I always wondered what it would be like to have Christmas in the summer and was pleasantly surprised to read that the party Holly went to had fake snow So they do somehow associate coldsnow with Christmas down underThis is a new to me author and although the story wasn't spectacular it was good enough for me to be interested in checking out some of her other work

Secret SantoWriter known only as AJ RuffoWhen Holly literally falls into the arms of the mysterious and charming Santo Randolfi she's sure it must be AJ After all Santo has tousled good looks dark curls luscious lips He's exactly what she'd imagined But when Santo reveals he's actually the author. All of us book reviewers have had that momentthat moment when we realize we're reading a book simply not for us and a huge part of us doesn't want the drama of writing a scathing review but an even bigger part of us is so outraged irritated or perturbed we can't keep our thoughts to ourselvesI love the story idea Romance book reviewer and blogger writes a scathing review goes to a Christmas party meets a gorgeous author who will only reveal he writes under a pseudonym and realizes the man she's lusting after is that author she just bashed on her blog How to get around that Talk about awkward I also wanted to read this because the author interviewed me here on Book Babe when she was doing research for thisI thought it would be predictable Girls meets boy lusts after him has a dilemma in this case the reviewauthor thing they get over it live HEA But while the HEA is there the ending threw a twist at me I honestly didn't see coming Big thumbs up for thatThe story goes a bit overboard with the Christmas stuff names like Noelle Merry Holly Santo Rudy but at the same time the stuff I thought a bit eye rolling was counteracted with cute or funny bits like falling on a candy cane and just that whole bit with her boss Her boss and her teethnose issue made me laugh out loud and I love a good laughI didn't care for how often the heroine has to be savedfull review and uotes
