Read à PDF, eBook or Kindle ePUB free Í Linda Rosencrance An all out investigation would shock hardened detectives From interviews with women who survived their encounters with him to the forensic search for bone fragments and pieces of burned buried flesh the case against Larry Bright finally closed like a vise on the man who turned his victims into ashes With pages of shocking photos. If you really want to know the story of Larry Bright's crimes go to Wikipedia or Murderpedia Those sites will tell you what you want to know and they're waaaay better written than this asinine bookThe author thanks her editor but why It doesn't look like he did anything at all with the material beyond encouraging her to write it The style is completely unremarkable the writing utterly mediocre and the idea of a concise cohesive narrative seems to have never entered Rosencrance's head Neither has she attempted to put events in any kind of order The timeline is nonexistent jumping back and forth and incidents and people are mentioned for the first time as if they've already been discussed then chapters later they are mentioned again and finally explained And it is all as repetitive as it can be This repetitiveness is made worse by the fact that the story is not told in the usual way crime stories are told as if events are happening right now Instead it's all told in a never ending series of She told the officer or He said Larry had told him with no feeling of immediacy at allTo top it off the perpetrator Larry Bright his victims and most of the witnesses were so dysfunctional yet at the same time boring They did the same stupid crap over and over again borrow money; drive around; get arrested; fight; get drunk; get high; turn tricks; have a bad date with Larry Bright and narrowly escape with their lives; tell street friends all about it; warn street friends not to get in his truck; get back in his truck two weeks later; get high; rinse and repeatGritty can be compelling and even fascinating in a train wreck kind of way if it's written well This is not written well at all and the dysfunction merely bores and disgusts and despite many assertions that certain people were really wonderful people who just made bad decisionstook up with the wrong crowdgot involved in drugs it was very hard to feel anything than contempt for them after watching them systematically destroy themselves time and againSome other author could have written a thought provoking or emotionally complex examination of this case and its effects on the people of Peoria Illinois But at this point I wouldn't care to read such an effort

Oh no This was one of the very worst books I've ever read I was up really late and wanted something different and sort of mindless to read but I still wanted it to be dark This was a super cheap Nook purchase so I went for it The story was interesting but it was almost as though this book didn't get written It was choppier than most outlines rambled forever about irrelevant details and had a lot of obvious grammatical errors I could really care less about grammar and flow but this book somehow managed to turn a really dark and complicated story into a boring mess of a crappy book No good Even worse; when I was done reading I had to google the story so I could make sure I got it all straight No good Does not compute Run away

Bone CrusherIght had trolled the roads and back streets of Illinois for the most helpless desperate women he could find Then one woman escaped and suddenly police were looking for bodies everywhere trying to find out how many women Bright had really killed and what he had done with their remains Burn Their Bodies In The Backyard Step by step. The story of a serial killer active in Illinois and elsewhere though I wasn't sure who or what this book was about until chapter five After his arrest he spends a lot of time jerking the detectives around and the reader is right there re living every tedious minute It may offer some insight into his personality but it's not a great reading experience
