Update can't believe I bought this book instead of borrowing it from the library The fat loss industry preys on thin idealism as the standard to you know take your money Don't believe the fat shame hype you can be fat and healthy just as you can be thin and unwell That said this book probably had some good workouts and suggested diet plans but don't expect or shame yourself if you don't look like Jackie on the cover Most personal trainers are blessedly and genetically thin and use that to again be part of an industry that wants your Original reviewA little while back my dental hygienest pretty much scared me straight into flossing Every day I now do it twice a day She informed me that oral health is an indicator of overall health and that flossing is actually important than brushing one's teeth I don't even really care about my teeth I mean who doesn't love a charmer missing a tooth or two But something in what she told me about my health my life my little bits of food gunk that I wouldn't get out of my teeth unless I floss really hit home and shook my sense of mortality Long story short maybe Jackie and her kind of mean titled new book can do the same I liked her Bravo show Work Out; I find her human and real I think she may be correct that I'm cramming a ton of gross stuff into my body and that I may be a sugar addict I think she is on the right track in informing me that I could be on my way to contracting disease diabetes and other health issues Will I listen I don't know I ate like 900 calories worth of Ikea cookies today for crying out loud So if Jackie can jackhammer into my brain that highly processed sugary foods are bad not flossing and I should replace them by trekking to the grocery store I totally hate grocery shopping to get fresh vegetables and fruits flossing regularly I will consider this book worth the 16 I put down at BJs
